In-game I hate their guts as Jade for what they have done. Out of Game? I don’t know the guys, they were just players … a bit cooky maybe on the red-in-tooth and claw Rand stuff, but hey, none of my business right? Yes, that’s what I thought to. Thank you for confirming that TTI and its members are the lowest breed of snake, and now I really am speechless Background to this is that I have negotiated with Ctaesis in IRC on in-game issues, and I imagine he has used my ip and irc details to discover another of my nic profiles while searching around for dirt and blackmail material. Now I don’t know about you chaps, but I don’t think what I might or might not get up to out of game is valid leverage material for what was hitherto an entirely in-game dispute. So I’ve got a penchant for BDSM? Whatever, I’m as bold as brass and not ashamed of anything I do. What concerns me here is that Ctaesis thinks its appropriate to bring something like that up in a game forum. And hypocrisy is breathtaking … I remember reading about Ragnar threatening to sue because someone copied and pasted from a forum that included pictures of his kids and family. Well Ragnar, one of your guys has just tried to wreck my credibility with the player base by revealing I like handcuffs and whips on the weekend! WTF is your game sonny-jim? This is a game and out-of-game blackmail threats have no place in the game world. What next? Are you going to threaten to reveal that X corp’s CEO is secretly ***, or Y corp’s defence minister is having an affair with the woman next door? You have gone way too way too far. But I think its potentially possible that some people playing a game might have personal information they do not feel is appropriate for in-game poltical leverage. I just wanted to raise this as a matter of principle and hoped to shame the perpetrator into never doing it again. Thank you moderators and gm's for a very fast response by the way. I am entirely satisfied and would like to thank GM Guard and Orestes for sorting the situation promptly and properly. I hope this will send a positive message rotters who might want to employ this kind of low tactic to destroy in-game credibility. A very healthy community response all round.
